Запознайте се с ACID MAMMOTH!

Acid Mammoth са дуум метъл банда от Атина (Гърция), формирана през 2015 година от Chris Babalis младши (китара) и Dimosthenis Varikos (бас китара) - добри приятели от гимназията с любов към Sabbath и тежка музика като цяло. Скоро след това към тях се присъединява друг техен добър приятел, а именно Marios Louvaris (барабани), както и Chris Babalis старши (китара) - баща на младши. Acid Mammoth е повече от група приятели - те са семейство.

През 2016 година записват първият си и едноименен дългосвирещ албум, който издават самостоятелно в цифров формат през есента на 2017 година. Албумът е посрещнат добре и не след дълго групата е отново в студиото, записвайки втория си албум „Under Acid Hoof“ - по-мрачен, по-тежък и с повече фъззззз. През септември 2019 бандата подписва с Heavy Psych Sounds Records, които се решават на това още след първото преслушване на албума. „Under Acid Hoof“ е издаден на 24 януари 2020 година и е приет много добре, както от критиците, така и от феновете.

През септември 2020 година Acid Mammoth участват в серия от сплит албуми, издадени от Heavy Psych Sounds Records под името „Doom Sessions“. „Doom Sessions Vol. 2“ включва Acid Mammoth и дуум бандата от Сардиния 1782, превръщайки заглавието в изключително тежко издание с по три нови песни от всяка от двете банди. 2020 е годината, в която групата влиза в студиото, за да запише третия си албум „Caravan“, който бива издаден през 2021 година от Heavy Psych Sounds Records, заедно с първото им изобщо издание на дебютния им албум на физически носител, както и две нови преси на „Under Acid Hoof“.

Meet ACID MAMMOTH!

Acid Mammoth is a doom metal band from Athens, Greece. The band was formed in 2015 by Chris Babalis Jr. (Vocals & Guitars) and Dimosthenis Varikos (Bass), good friends since high school, with a deep love for Sabbath and other heavy music. They were quickly joined by their very good friend Marios Louvaris (Drums) and Chris Babalis Sr. (Guitars), Jr.'s father. Acid Mammoth is more than just a band of friends. They are a family.

In late 2016, the band recorded its self-titled, debut full-length album, which they self-released digitally in autumn of 2017. The album was well received, and it wasn’t long before the band was in the studio again to record its second full-length album "Under Acid Hoof", this time darker, heavier and fuzzier. In September 2019, the band signed with Heavy Psych Sounds Records, which welcomed the Greek Doomers to their roster after the first listening of the new album. "Under Acid Hoof" was released January 24th 2020 and was very well received by fans and critics alike.

In September 2020 the band participated in a series of split releases by Heavy Psych Sounds Records called the "Doom Sessions". "Doom Sessions Vol. 2" featured Acid Mammoth alongside the Sardinian Doomers 1782, in an ultra heavy release that featured three brand new tracks from each band. In late 2020 the band entered the studio to record their third full-length album called "Caravan", which was released March 2021 by Heavy Psych Sounds Records, alongside the first ever physical press of the 2017 self-titled debut as well as two represses of "Under Acid Hoof".
